  My daughter was asked to play her harp at this church for a Christmas Eve service. I have never been to a more welcoming church. Pastor Harris and his wife were so nice and welcoming. The members of the congregation were so kind and made my daughter feel like she was a star! The sermon was amazing and well thought out. I wish we lived closer to this church because we would love to go back! I would highly recommend this pastor and church if you are looking for a place to worship!! It was such a wonderful experience!!

  I previously visited several churches in the area and decided to visit POL. I was instantly feeling a hominess that I didn't feel at the other churches I visited. Pastor Jullius Harris and his wife, Lady D are warm, passionate and dedicated to the Word of God. Pastor Harris delivers the sermon/message in a way that anyone can relate. He often uses his and his wife's experiences to make a point or paint a picture. The congregation is made up of all ages and races, but no one feels like a stranger...they embrace you at the door. It is an intimate setting with lessons and memories you can see played out in your daily life. The choir--which is made up by a song coach (Kirk Franklin-style) and the congregation is spirited by a instrumental combo that makes you jump for joy. I love this church and that's why I eventually joined! Bible Study on Tues. nights are almost like counseling sessions with the informal conversations that arise from Scripture. I LOVE IT!
